In May of 2018, Tutu’s was founded in the beautiful town of Lafayette, California, at the site formally known as Chow. We’re an organic, chef-driven restaurant, bar, and market.
Our menu is a reflection of our rich and varied ethnic influences. We offer American, European, Latin American, and Asian dishes, and we also feature a classic, all-day breakfast and brunch!
Tutu’s sources pristine, organic foods. For our breakfasts, we use only organic Glaum’s eggs from Challenge Dairy. In addition to our in-house organic baked goods, pies, and cookies, we offer breakfast and sandwich breads from Semifreddi’s bakery.
Our seafood comes from Monterey Fish Market, founded in 1978 to provide seafood to the Hayes Street Grill in San Francisco and to Chez Panisse in Berkeley. They are hands down the best seafood supplier in the Bay Area.
Our coffee comes from Fort Bragg’s Thanksgiving Coffee Company. They helped usher in the term we know as “free trade.” They’re another pioneering family business, supporting organics, farmers, and communities, and they even allowed us to formulate our own delicious blend!
To complement our coffee, we use dairy products from Straus Family Creamery. They’ve established a sustainable model that has greatly influenced California dairy farms and ranches. They also provide the dairy for Cowgirl Creamery, which makes artisan, organic cheeses in Tomales Bay. We proudly feature their cheeses in our market too.
We feature 100% organic vegetables and fruits in our grocery store and in our restaurant’s juices and cocktails from Greenleaf produce and Veritable Vegetable. These two companies have been providing beautiful fruits and vegetables to Bay Area businesses since the seventies!
Our organic pastas and noodles come from Phoenix Pastificio and our dried imported Italian noodles come from Ital Foods.
Our poultry comes from Pitman Farms, a family-owned business. You’ve heard of Mary’s organic, free-range chicken, her son David still takes care of the ranch.
Our goal is to prove that healthy, organic food doesn’t have to be expensive. Because of our top notch suppliers, in addition to our wonderful, committed team, we’re able to offer you the quality of food that every neighborhood deserves.
